Climate change is the biggest challenge of our generation and has to be solved urgently. We are inspired by the beauty of this planet. It is the only one we have.
Our vision is to sequester 1 GT of CO2 while regenerating tropical soils to create a livable planet with nutritious food and healthy ecosystems for future generations.

Our biggest Carbon Credit Sale so far to Frontier!
We are very happy to announce that our application got selected out of numerous others to start a partnership with Frontier! On behalf of Shopify and Stripe, Frontier will in total spend more than USD 1 billion on Carbon Removal Credits and R&D in the field. We are very glad that Frontier recognizes Enhanced Rock Weathering as a high-quality and permanent carbon removal solution and that they see our potential to deploy this in Brazil. This project is important for upscaling our operations and will provide us with a lot of learning opportunities and insights when it comes to project management and developing our MRV. We are now listed on the Cloverly platform!
We are very proud to announce that we are listed on Cloverly, a platform that focuses on high-quality carbon projects and a valuable player on the carbon market. We are now part of the portfolio available to Cloverly’s clients. Users of their platform can request our Carbon Removal Credits and in this way meaningfully contribute to a sustainable tropical agriculture that removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Participant in the Airminers Launchpad
As InPlanet we have been selected to join the fall program of the Airminers Launchpad! This is a startup accelerator program specifically focused on carbon removal. Besides building knowledge, we meet a lot of inspiring people from other impact-driven startups. ♥
Research on Enhanced Weathering of Silicate Rocks
InPlanet raises € 1.2M in pre-seed round for Enhanced Rock Weathering in the tropics
Press ReleaseInPlanet recently closed an oversubscribed € 1.2M pre-seed round from leading impact and climate investors. The startup, previously in stealth, is using Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) technology for large-scale removal of CO2 from the atmosphere and works...
An Enhanced Weathering research trip to build strong, global partnerships
At the beginning of December, our Research Lead Dr. Philipp Swoboda made an Enhanced Weathering research trip. On this trip, he visited a company and talked to researchers working in the fields of silicate rock powder application in agriculture and Enhanced Rock...
The Additionality of Enhanced Weathering in Brazil
Brazil is a special country when it comes to the use of rock powders in agriculture. It has a unique legislation and already is the global leader in Enhanced Weathering, without even knowing it. We wrote a blog post about the situation in Brazil some weeks ago. This...
Quantifying Enhanced Rock Weathering
Today our Head of Science, Dr. Elisabete T. Pedrosa shares some of the challenges of quantifying enhanced rock weathering in tropical soils and where the scientific community stands at the moment. Let’s read through her scientific, yet accessible analysis of the...
Fertilizing with silicate rock powder in Brazil
In this week's blog post we unravel some of the mysteries out there regarding the impact on yield and the reduction of conventional farming inputs after the use of silicate rock powders as fertilizer. Initially, our Research Lead Philipp Swoboda will present some of...
On the ground in Brazil, ready to make enhanced weathering happening
After a little break in our blog we are now back with news regarding the next steps to scale enhanced weathering in Brazil. First of all, as you might have noticed in our URL (www.inplanet.earth), we changed our name to Inplanet because we did notice that...
The challenges of EW experiments in the field – a signal in the haystack
Enhanced weathering (EW) of silicate minerals releases essential elements and sequesters CO2 dissolved in rainwater as inorganic carbon (principally bicarbonate (HCO3-)), which is transferred and stored in the oceans for >100.000 years. Another EW route that...
Why Brazil will soon be leading in enhanced weathering?
In their quite handy summary of the latest IPCC report, counteract presents a great overview of how carbon dioxide removal was discussed in the context of the paper. Check it out here. Overall it is clear to the scientific community that carbon removal is crucial for...
Seeding a forest with 1t of rock powder, a pinch of charcoal and 300kg of native seeds
Just before heading back to the city after one and a half months on the farm of PRETATERRA, we had the honor to participate in a second pilot project: Seeding a forest - Watch the video here! On Wednesday night a white 1980s Hilux arrived on the farm carrying 300kg of...
